Accounting Specialist

Key Objectives and Major Responsibilities:

• Maintaining full accounting records in accordance with local accounting regulations and internal accounting policies.

• End-to-end processing of accounting documents, including formal and substantive verification.

• Proper identification and accounting recognition of transactions for tax purposes, including VAT, CIT, WHT and other applicable taxes.

• Posting accounting entries for costs and revenues.

• Preparing and posting accruals, provisions, FX revaluations and fixed assets depreciation.

• Performing monthly reporting activities, including: general ledger reconciliations, trial balance preparation, balance sheet and profit & loss account.

• Preparing, signing and submitting statutory declarations, reports and filings to external authorities, including in particular: the Tax Office, Central Statistic Office, the National Bank of Poland, as well as other public administration institutions.

• Ongoing cooperation with tax authorities and external institutions.

• Preparing complete statutory financial statement.

• Active participation in the statutory audit process and cooperation with external auditors.

• Close and ongoing cooperation with other departments within the company, including preparation and delivery of financial data, analyses and reports required for operational, reporting and decision-making purposes.

• Ongoing and close cooperation with the Group Finance Team, including regular financial reporting, data reconciliations and provision of required information in line with group standards and timelines.

Key Capabilities and Competencies:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.

• Strong knowledge of local accounting regulations and tax laws (VAT, CIT, WHT).

• Experience in independent full-scope accounting.

• Hands-on experience in preparing tax returns and statutory reports.

• Experience in preparing financial statements.

• Willingness to sign and submit tax declarations to authorities within granted authorizations.

• Very good Excel skills.

• English proficiency at a level enabling fluent business communication.

• High level of independence, accuracy and ownership.
